Have you ever wanted something cool and sweet while trying to stay away from unhealthy desserts? Have no fear, cocoa banana ice cream is here! This as an easy and tasty way to use over ripe bananas in a fast and easy dessert.
The whipped frozen bananas have the texture of ice cream, but you have to make sure to blend it long enough to achieve the right consistency. The addition of the edges and peanut butter marry nicely with the bananas creating a complex and satisfying dessert. You won't be disappointed!
Ingredients (per person):
1-2 frozen bananas*
1/4 C cocoa spelt edges
1-2 TBSP all natural peanut butter
*peel and freeze very ripe whole bananas in a freezer bag. Ripe bananas make a better tasting dessert.
You'll also need a blender and spatula!
- Cut frozen bananas into large chunks and add to blender. Add peanut butter and Cocoa Spelt Stroopwafel Edges.
- Blend until it has a smooth, ice cream-like consistency. You will need to stop and scrape the sides of the blender a few times to ensure everything is blended nicely,
- Top with all your favorite things & enjoy!!
